I’ve been test driving the Gush 2 Motion all week, in preparation for this Lovense Gush 2 Motion review, and in short, it feels like Lovense have quietly solved a problem I didn’t know it had. On the surface it’s identical to the original Gush 2, but with one small addition: a new motion sensor that Lovense calls the “master control”, which reads your stroke rhythm and uses it to control the intensity of other Lovense toys.
What I Liked About It:
- Vibrations: Target burly vibe patterns on prime positions.
- Tightness: Fully tighten its grip using 2 adjustable rings.
- Sound sync: Sync your favorite songs or adult videos with audio-driven vibrations.
- Community patterns: Access a huge volume of user inspired vibration patterns.
- Dynamic mode: Direct the patterns & intensity by finger swiping.
What I Didn’t Like:
- Music: Syncing Youtube Music requires premium account to play app in background. Spotify not supported.
- Interactive video: There’s an infinite number of free Vibemate patterns, but no interactive adult videos on Lovense Remote app.
Basically, the harder you thrust the Gush 2 Motion, the more intense the response from the connected Lovense toy – so a vibrating toy will oscillate harder, while a stroking toy will thrust faster.
To be honest, I’ve never really delved into hooking up with my partner or strangers online – the Gush 2’s solo skills have always been more than enough; but if it is, or you are with someone, then this latest upgrade adds a new dimension to syncing toys and long distance connections.

Unboxing & First Impressions
The Lovense Gush 2 Motion turned up pretty quick, it took only 2 days. You receive a nondescript rectangular box that could include anything, so thankfully there were no giveaways that it contained an interactive male pleasure toy.

The Gush 2 Motion comes with a few bits and bobs: the manual, not one but two adjustable penis rings (great for tighter missions), and a white magnetic charger. Lovense uses dual magnetic charging pads to keep their toys fully waterproof.
Build wise, the Gush 2 Motion is a rigid, tough device. Its exterior is very smooth, and its inner canal feels the same but has diagonal ribbing, that wraps itself around you with two soft, flexible flaps.

Setup
Manually: There’s not much to it. Simply charge the toy and the red light that surrounds the circular power button at the top will turn off when fully charged.
Hold this down for 3 seconds and the Gush 2 Motion will give a little gurgle to let you know it’s alive. You then use the power button to cycle through the 7 different manual vibration patterns.
App setup: You’ll need the Lovense Remote app (available on iPhone/Android). Once installed make sure your device’s Bluetooth is enabled, then fire up the app. With the toy turned on, the app will detect the Gush 2 Motion or any other active Lovense toy, and tell you it’s disconnected.

Just tap the blue Gush 2 Motion icon, it’ll take you to the settings screen and click the toggle to enable a connection. Go back to the previous Toy screen and you’ll see the blue icon spinning and a green battery bar. You’re then good to go.

Manual Features & Patterns
Using the Lovense Gush 2 Motion manually is elementary. You just have the power button to steer you through the 7 different vibration patterns. Aside from physically moving it, there are no other manual controls – and those physical movements can be used to interact with other Lovense toys, with the new master control feature.
Watch the 7 different manual vibration patterns with sound, and bear in mind when it’s reverberating its way across the kitchen floor, it is a lot louder than when it’s wrapped around you.
- Vibe pattern 1: The first of three constant vibrations – lowest setting.
- Vibe pattern 2: The second continuous vibe pattern with mid-range intensity.
- Vibe pattern 3: The third and most intense constant vibration in manual mode.
- Vibe pattern 4: Staircase vibe with escalating peak.
- Vibe pattern 5: A ramp and pulse kind of vibe.
- Vibe pattern 6: Short smooth rippling waves.
- Vibe pattern 7: Square waves with a sharp on-off.
App Features

Whipping out your phone and firing up the Lovense Remote app, opens a window into the Gush 2 Motion’s soul.
Inside the app you have the bottom navigation tabs which list:
- Community (features popular/recommended user patterns)
- Messages (chat in groups, with other user’s, AI friend)
- Toy (main section)
- Explore (control roulette, game gallery et al)
- Me (profile lists posts, patterns, likes etc)
And tapping Toy, reveals the heart of this app’s features:
- Patterns (3 categories)
- Lovense picks
- New user faves
- Pattern library
- AI Play
- Sound
- Music
- Speed
- Dynamic
- Adult stories
- Alarm control
- Interactive features
- Kegel training
- Game mode

There’s a lot going on in the Lovense Remote app. However’s there’s probably a lot you won’t touch if syncing the Gush 2 and AI partners that can handle Lovense toys, isn’t your thing.
Personally, I stick to:
- The plethora of pulse patterns created by real users, that can each last up to an hour long.
- The dynamic mode which lets your finger create vibration patterns with different intensities.
- The sound decibel reader that works pretty well with adult videos with no background noise.
- The speed dial. Occasionally I use the flat tone at different strengths.
What I didn’t touch:
- AI Play – I’d stick to a solid AI companion, only a few characters for now.
- Adult Stories/Alarm Control – I haven’t got round to testing, but there’s some bedtime beauties there.
- Kegel Training – Step by step pelvic muscle training guide. Not tried, but looks beneficial.
- Interactive video – I expected to find some interactive adult movies but was disappointed to find only YouTube music videos.
- Game mode – I’ve not tried but the option is there to get reverberations off of your favorite games.
What I would have liked to use but couldn’t:
- The Music sync option – I was genuinely a bit peeved that you need to upgrade to a Premium YouTube account so you can play music in the background on your device, plus there’s no Spotify integration – yet. The sound sync feature though does an OK enough job.

New Master Control
The Gush 2 Motion’s new “master control” feature turns your stroking into a live control signal.
The built-in motion sensor detects how fast and intensely you stroke yourself, allowing it to automatically control the intensity of another connected Lovense toy, or multiple toys if you’re hanging out with a group.
If you are hooking up with a dildo like the Nora, it’ll vibrate accordingly. With the Solace Pro, it’ll thrust the device, or with the Max 2 it’ll pulsate in rhythm. You get the gist.

It works both ways too, albeit the Gush 2 Motion won’t stroke you by itself, but if someone else turns on their own master control function, then the G2M will vibrate reciprocally.
Note: You need to connect with another Lovense toy first before you can engage master control.
Performance Scale
Smooth contoured exterior, light anatomical grip, ribbon grooved canal, slippery with lube.
Almost 2 hours of battery life, an hour to charge & great standby mode, doesn’t lose a drop.
Thunderous. Why I bought the Gush 2 in the first place. Top vibes are jack-hammering.
Unlimited; 7 manual & infinite number created by users, AI, Lovense with audio/music sync.
Gush 2 Motion maxes out at 46dB. Lower frequencies it’s a light hum & quieter worn tight.
Lovense Gush 2 Motion Review: Verdict
The Gush 2 Motion is a sleek interactive pleasure device. It’s a quality vibrating men’s pleasure toy that can be worn hands-free and used to interpret a multitude of sound mediums, come rain or shine. It pounds you good and proper and doesn’t hold back. These I would say are its key strengths, along with its battery life.
The downside would be that because it’s open-ended, this amplifies the more intense sounds somewhat, and the YouTube sound sync issue is a pain. The absence of interactive NSFW video content is also surprising. I understand Vibemate is where you’re meant to head to watch synchronized material, but seeing as there are a crazy amount of free Vibemate patterns, it would be nice to have some free videos on the Lovense Remote app to get a taste.
Nevertheless, I’m probably nitpicking a bit. I can only really speak of my own solo ventures when it comes to this Lovense Gush 2 Motion review, which have been eye-watering at times. For lone wolves, I highly recommend. For couples and long distance connections, I can’t speak from firsthand experience, but whatever your sexual persuasion, Lovense do specialize in this niche so the Gush 2 Motion might be worth a punt, especially if it’s intended to bring you closer together.
