LELO F2S Double Sonic review

Motor 1: Escalating & deescalating Motor 1’s 16 vibration levels.

Motor 2: Riding up & down Double Sonic’s new 2nd engine.

For me, the Lelo app is where the F2S Double Sonic really comes alive.

After connecting the F2S Double Sonic via bluetooth by holding down the power button for 3 seconds on the device, you’ll find that the app gives you far more control than you get from the buttons on the toy itself.

Once you click play, you’ll see 3 main modes:

• Regular
• Humanize
• AI

Regular Mode: Motor & Gear Controls

So you have 2 motors that each have 16 intensity levels, and 8 gears.

The gears increase the frequency of the modes or patterns, while the motors increase the strength of the pulsations.

The gears work on modes 2 to 13. The first mode is flat so there’s no sequence to speed up.

Scaling up and down the motor intensities, while shifting through the gears, as you accelerate and decelerate the speed of the patterns, can be a giddy rush.

You can set different patterns for each motor, however if you just want the same for both, there’s a separate mode option above the Gears, which overrides both motor settings, to save time.

I haven’t done the math, but with the 13 different patterns, 2 separate motors with 16 levels of vibration strength and 8 speeds, you get a lot of variation on regular mode, under play on the Lelo app.

AI Mode: Interactive Control

When I first saw AI mode, I thought it let you feel what you hear or see, but the built-in sensor is actually meant to sync your physical stroking with the vibrations, so the faster you thrust the device up and down, the stronger the vibrations and quicker the pattern sequence becomes.

AI mode on the Lelo app features a speedometer with 6 gears. When you stroke it rigorously, the accelerator dial starts to turn and the gear numbers change.

Regardless of the jazzy optics, AI mode is in fact an interactive feature which is incredibly useful to a lot of guys. Not many auto-masturbator’s react to your hand movement. The Gush 2 Motion which just came out is one of the few that does – hence the motion, but not on this seismic scale.

Settings: Create Your Own Patterns

One down from play on the main menu, you have settings. This is where you can create your own patterns and save them for later, and additionally set a time for them to finish.

• Save: bespoke patterns from a choice of 8 modes & 16 vibration intensities per each motor, and 8 speeds.
• Auto-Off Time: means you can give your personal patterns a time limit. 10 to 30 minutes or never, is allowed.

Patterns

While there are 13 programmed pleasure patterns in total, when you have 2 motors bellowing out different sequences, pulses and intensities, at different intervals, it’s impossible to quantify how many different patterns the F2S Double Sonic can muster.

Stamina Training Program

Another useful feature is the stamina training program.

In essence, it’s designed to help you build better control over your arousal, seeing how long you can continue without climaxing.

The idea is simple: start the program and see how long you can maintain control while the device is operating.

You can adjust the intensity as the session progresses, making the stimulation increasingly challenging.

The app also gives you badges for reaching different goals, including:

• 2 minutes: The Navigator
• 12 minutes: Unstoppable
• 14+ minutes: Ultimate Lover

Obviously, these aren’t targets you need to beat. Everyone is different, and there’s no reason to compare your results with anyone else’s.

If you’re specifically interested in improving your stamina, it’s a clever little feature to have built into the app.

Kegel Exercises

The F2S Double Sonic also packs in another feature that goes beyond stimulation – kegel exercises.

Designed to help strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, the app guides you through contracting and relaxing these muscles – the same ones you clench to stop yourself peeing.

4 Step Process:

• Step 1: Relax & breathe
• Step 2: Kegel Basic Hold
• Step 3: Kegel pulsing
• Step 4: Cool down

The app guides you through these pelvic exercises, telling you when to contract and when to relax. The Double Sonic doesn’t engage in these exercises, but your phone/tablet does.

For example when you click start on Step 1 – Relax & Breathe, a timer counts down from 10 seconds, and then your phone vibrates in bursts, and a lady tells you to: “inhale – exhale” in 5 second increments, over 20 plus cycles.

The next steps continue in the form of a series of “hold and relax” routines, with their respective time limits.

It’s a useful addition if you want to maintain pelvic-floor strength as you get older, and ward off ED, premature ejaculation and dribble drop – to name a few age related ailments.

Cleaning Mode

Cleaning the F2S Double Sonic is doubly easy as it’s both waterproof and includes a dedicated cleaning mode.

For cleaning, use:

• Lukewarm water
• Mild antibacterial soap
• A towel or air dryer

Simply place your F2S Double Sonic under a running tap and activate the cleaning program. The device will vibrate for a minute, helping to clean the inside of the sleeve.

Rinse it with warm water and a mild, unscented soap – a fragrance-free washing-up liquid will do. Combined with a strong flow of water, this helps ensure the F2S Double Sonic comes out as clean as a whistle.

When you use a lubricant, stick to a water-based formula to protect the tender silicone skin – DIY water-based lubes are another option.

Steer clear of oily lubes, saliva and silicone based lubes.
